If you just motor or walk anywhere in North Wales you will see outstanding beauty everywhere. It's absolutely stunning up there!!!

Alyn Waters?

Bellevue Park?

Bonc yr Hafod?

Just a few suggestions..
Wrexham is a Dump.
Well, Wrexham may not be a particularly beautiful town but the surrounding area is stunning.

Check out Erddig Hall owned by The National Trust. (about 3 miles from Wrexham town centre). The house isn't open at the moment but the gardens, shop, and restaurant are I believe. Failing that you can walk around the estate on the public footpaths down to the 'cup and saucer' - I will let you find out what that is but it's quite cool and was used to pump water in to the great hall back in the day. Alternatively, Chirk Hall is just down the A483 and is probably also open (garden wise).

Check out Llangollen or the Horse Shoe Pass. You can get to Llan in about 25 mins (if that) from Wrexham. The old Llan railway runs on weekends during the off-peak season, or just walk along the river side. The Horse Shoe Pass is very popular with couples and motorcyclists alike.

I would seriously consider visiting Snowdonia. It may be around an hour and fifteen from Wrexham but it is worth the drive along the scenic A5. Take the train up to the top of Snowdon or just spend some time wandering around the country lanes and admire the view. Capel Curig is a great start for some easy walks. Head for Moel Siabod if you feel like a bit of a scramble.

By the way, if you happen to go to Chester then you should check out the City Walls. You can walk all the way around the Roman city centre in around 40 mins on the wall and it's a really pleasent, quiet experience taking about 40 mins. Head for the famous clock or the cathedral and you will find the wall (romantic too!).
