Katy perry and vintage clothing and beauty ideas for that era? ?

so. im pretty obssessed with vintage like 1920's 1930's clothing and beauty. (like katy perry style and marilyn monroe) Except no where I go has anything like that. Does anyone have everyday beauty tips for that era in style. also if you have any websites that have clothing like that. ex: stop staring (but a little bit cheaper?), By the way im 15, 5'8, i have an hour glass shaped body.

anything would be great. thanks!Katy perry and vintage clothing and beauty ideas for that era? ?
Okay, this is kinda weird but my name is Gabriella, i'm 17, 5'8, and have a hourglass shaped body and LOVE the 30's, 40's, 50's look. Eerie!

Stop Staring make beautiful clothes but they don't make them cheap (sadly)! Look on ebay:

http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll鈥?/a>

You can find tons of stuff on there in moderatly if not excellent condtion and CHEAP!

Don't like shopping online? Go to Forever 21 and look for:

Pencil Skirts in different colors! Try red, black, blue, pink, gingham, and leopard print. They have tons of stuff there and it's very inexpensive!

Tops: Look for black tops, they go with everything! Look for plain black tops or ones with ruffles, lace accent or embroidery of somesort (just keep any embellishments to a minimum!)

Belts: What makes the 20's and 30's look? BELTS! They compliement your figure, giving it a pin-up girl type of look. Wear a belt at your natural waist. Try colors like red, black, pink, blue, zebra print, etc. They look great with a skirt and a top and you can wear it with or without your top tucked in to your skirt.

Shoes: Black flats or high heels! If you're going to school, try flats. Look for different colored flats but make sure you have a black flat! They go with all your outfits=)

You can find everything you need at Forever 21 but experiment with your look! Try a band shirt with a black pencil skirt and belt it. It looks totally cool and unique!

Other stores to go to are Target, Goodwill, department stores, Hot Topic, Wal*Mart, and other places. Be creative! You can find clothes anywhere if you look for the right thing! Also, if you can sew, you can take tops you already have and shorted them or add patches, buttons, etc...

Beauty Tips:

Winged Eyelier (cat-eye) use a liquid eyeliner and wing it out on the ends so it extends toward the end of your eyebrow. Use light colored eyeshadow in a VERY neatural color. If you want to, use a dark or medium brown in your crease to add depth to your eye. Add LOTS of black mascara!

Red lips can look too ';old'; on a 15 year old so try peach-pink lipgloss or clear lip balm!

Cheeks: Use a light pink blush (try a cream blush like Maybelliene Whippes Mouse in Pink Frosting) BUT use it sparingly! You don't want to look too harsh! Use it more for a light glow rather than a harsh blush.

Hair: Curly waves are the only way hair was worn back then. Hate curly hair? Straighten your hair and flip your ends for a retro look. Bangs (like bettie bangs) are optional but side-swept bangs look great, too=)

Experiment with your looks. Retro clothes look great when modernized and made unique! Just know what you are looking for when you go to a store!

Websites:

babygirlboutique.com

forever21.com

daddyos.com

luckykat.net

infectiousthreads.com

Do a Yahoo! Seach on ';Rockabilly Clothing';. This will give you tons of websites!

I Hope This Helps!

tall and hourglass shape.. you cant go wrong with anything really.

if youre looking for vintage styled clothes, suprisingly, you'll find many EXPENSIVE clothes that look very worn in and nicely styled for the ';VINTAGE'; look that you're looking for. I dont think it's possible to find a store that only sells those styles (not that I know of), but you can definately look around for piece of clothing that has vintage style to it. Try urban outtfitters, h%26amp;m.. etc
French Moho Vintage always has great stuff!
